YARD SIGN SUGGESTIONS Often times the best messages of support are those that come from your heart. Homemade signs are great way to create something unique that shows your support and to get the whole family involved in the effort. Children especially can participate in creating signs that show support of our troops. Below are some examples of wording and drawings that others have used to get you started. HINT: If you want to have your signs to last longer outside use permanent markers, poster board and 'laminate' them by covering them with clear shelving paper, available at most craft and home stores. |

Some Sign Suggestions 1. Keep it Simple (6 words or less) 2. Spell it Right 3. Use both sides of the sign (You can put a different message on each side) 4. Make it Bright but use just 1 - 3 primary colors (If there are too many colors, it will be too hard for passersby to read) 5. Use one clear image/focus to attract attention - ie. The Flag, or a Star. (If it's too cluttered with images, it will be too hard for passersby to read.)
