In late 2002, Kristin Gilpatrick released her newest war veteran profile book, Fooprints in Courage (left), the inspiring story fo World War II veteran Alf Larson who survived not only the tortuous and grueling Bataan Death March but, subsequently, nearly four years as a forced labor prisoner of the Japanese.
Also in 2002, Gilpatrick introduced her contribution

Author Kristin Gilpatrick offers a complete - and free- profile of World War II prisoner of war James Duncan. The Madison, Wis., man lost his leg securing the escape of the soldiers he was charged with in a European forest in early 1945. Duncan was subsequently held by the Germans until the end of the war.
